ABOUT US
I, Leland Forbes, began working with veterans of the HDPE industry gaining experience and precision in 2013. I have a vast knowledge, experience and hold current McElroy and Plastic Pipe Technologies certifications for all types of HDPE thermal bonding processes.
Throughout the years, I have worked on many prefabrications for waste water and water treatment facilities, directional bores for main water lines, forced sewer main lines, sewer pump bypass builds. Forbes Pipeworks is based out of Phoenix Arizona and here to supply the best quality in High Density Polyethylene Fusion wherever needed.
SERVICES
BUTT FUSION
Butt Fusion is the most basic/common HDPE fusion process. Using mechanical and hydraulic machinery to joint two butt ends of pipe and/or fittings together.
SOCKET FUSION
Socket fusion is a similar style of assembly as to standard house hold PVC without the twist. Special designed heater plates push into a HDPE fitting and over the pipe end for the heating process.
TROUBLE SHOOTING
Give us a call for any HDPE Fusion Process or Machine Questions
ELECTROFUSION
Electrofusion requires the use of a piece of machinery called a processor. The processor sends a current of electricity through a wire in a coupling, fitting or saddle to create the bond.
EXTRUSION WELDING
Think of an arts and crafts hot glue gun, but the extrusion welding is bigger and designed for HDPE. This process is generally for non pressure rated tasks.
FUSION TRAINING
Forbes Pipeworks has linked up with Plastic Pipe Technologies for fusion training which can be reach directly at
SADDLE FUSION
Saddle or Sidewall fusion is the process in which a fuse is to the outer diameter of the pipe. Either an electrofusion processor or special curved heater plates can be used.
REPAIRS/ MODIFICATIONS
There are numerous ways to repair or modify HDPE. Many companies have expanded their product line to offer quick fixes to permanent and the route we will take depends on your needs and physical situation.
